Who we are.
Operators, builders, and trusted advisors.
We are operators and forward deployed engineers who have sat on the client’s side of this work, so we know an operation from the inside.
Built by people from the client's side.
Before Heyra we founded companies and ran teams in-house, and that experience sets how we work: our engineers sit inside your team, build alongside the people who run the operation, and start in the first week.
We advise, and we build what we advise: we own the work from design to deployment to keeping it stable in production. Then we train your team to run, debug and extend it, and once they can carry it forward on their own, we leave.
We are based in Copenhagen, more than 55 people since the Pyne team joined in March 2026, and growing slowly on purpose.
The role the work needed.
Most of what we do runs through forward deployed engineers, and the role does not fit cleanly into engineering or into consulting.
The role exists because a system that does real work every day cannot be specified from outside the business it runs in: which exception actually matters, who will quietly refuse to use the thing, what breaks under load in March. None of that is in a brief, so someone has to build from where the answers are.
That is what forward deployed means here: neither a consultant who visits nor an engineer who receives a specification, but someone who is there while the problem is still badly understood, and still there once the launch excitement has faded.
Every role exists for a reason we can state. Deployment strategists own whether the thing gets used, which is a different job from whether it works. Designers are here because an optimisation engine nobody can read is an optimisation engine nobody runs. Researchers publish what we learn, including the parts that did not work.
